Four institutions of Kakching start functioning as CHICs

KAKCHING, May 7
With the approval of the Assembly Segment Covid Awareness and Covid Enforcement Committee, Wabagai High School, ITI Kakching and Kakching Makha High School, Langmeidong Higher Secondary School and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Umathel have been identified and started functioning as Community Home Isolation Centres (CHICS) of Kakching district.
An office memorandum issued by Deputy Commissioner of Kakching further stated that CHICs shall provide home isolation facility to asymptomatic COVID-19 cases for patients who cannot maintain adequate home isolation in terms of separate toilets, bedroom etc at their residence.
The entire management and operation shall be done by the respective Assembly Constituency COVID-19 Management Committee headed by the MLA of the Assembly Constituency concerned.
And District Home Isolation Team of Health Department shall regularly monitor and visit the inmates from time to time.
