The Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur (RNSOM), in a statement issued today extended their appreciation to the State Government for the all round preparedness to deal with the second wave of COVID-19 in the State.
The daily update on the preparations to defeat the dreaded COVID-19 in the State by Chief Minister, N Biren Singh through social media exhibits his utmost priority and care for the public which is praiseworthy, it added.
RNSOM assured to extend all possible assistance to the government in the fight against the pandemic.
While congratulating D Gangmei, IAS for his new responsibility as DC Kakching, the organisation expressed heartfelt appreciation to Dr Chambo Gonmei for his contributions as Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong for more than a decade towards the well being of people.
The organisation also welcomed Dr G Majachungliu as the new CMO incharge of Tamenglong and stated that they anticipate the incumbent CMO to come up with new strategies, change and development in the health sector at this crucial and challenging time.
RNSOM expressed their anguish over the diminishing numbers of doctors in Tamenglong  and stated that it is unfortunate that the continuous appeal of the organisation for posting adequate numbers of doctors in the district hospitals and CHCs at this challenging time has remained unheard.
RNSOM appealed to the Government to make necessary arrangements of doctors for the welfare of the people.
The organisation also appealed to all the District Level Officers, Block Level Officers especially medical officers and staff posted at District Hospital, CHC, PHC of Tamenglong and Noney district to make themselves available at their respective place of posting for immediate response to any call of duty without excuse.
Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur  further appealed to the public to cooperate and comply with all the directives of the State Government against the COVID-19 pandemic.
