Community Isolation Centre opened at Moirang

BISHNUPUR, May 8: A 70 bedded Community Isolation Centre for Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School in Moirang Lamkhai was inaugurated by MLA of Moirang A/C, P Saratchandra today.
The centre has been opened to the public as a part of Government's protective measures to accommodate Covid positive inmates in view of the surge in positive cases and fatality in the State over the past few days.
The Community Isolation Centre at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School will be managed by Moirang A/C COVID-19 Awareness cum Enforcement Committee under the aegis of P Saratchandra who is also the chairman of the committee.
Today's event was attended by SDPO Moirang T Sanajaoba, OC of Moirang Police Station RK Anilkumar, Kh Rajen Khanganba of Phougakchao Ikhai Police Station and EO of Moirang Municipal Council T Baite among others.
Speaking on the occasion, P Saratchandra said that he will extend all possible help to the centre to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and if required, a similar centre will be opened at Moirang College as well.
