Senapati, May 7: With surge of positive cases prevailing in the district, the Indian Red Cross Society, Senapati district flung into voluntary services like sanitizing public places and offices with fogging machine.
Volunteers from the Indian Red Cross Society, Senapati district today sanitized the District Hospital, Senapati with fogging machines which was accompanied by fire brigade in sanitizing the compound of the district hospital with sodium hypochlorite.
Different people from the district have been found Covid positive since the past few days. Earlier, the district IRCS volunteers had sanitized the State Bank of India, Senapati branch with fogging machines after two of its staff tested positive for Covid-19 earlier on the day.
It may be mentioned that the IRCS, Senapati district has been extending voluntary services since the outbreak of Covid-19 last year with much appreciation from the State IRCS.  Different CSOs and personalities of the district had lauded their invaluable voluntary services towards control of spread of Covid-19 in the district.
Speaking over phone, K L Andrew, Chairman, IRCS, Senapati district stated that  everyone need to have awareness about the spread of the virus and said that one can only be protected through cautious care .
He further mentioned that they are taking up such voluntary services with the sole aim to save mankind and assured to continue the same in the future as well.
