IMPHAL, Jun 19 : The United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur (UARSoM) has backed the Government's order on the structure of school fees and salary of teachers issued recently adding that it was thoughtful and notable.
In an order issued in this regard, private and Government aided schools were prescribed to collect 50 percent of the monthly payable fees from students and advised 70 percent of monthly payable salary to the teachers and the staff of the school.
Though the association says it was a thoughtful call, it has appealed to all parents to pay at least 70 percent of the fees considering the nature of the teaching-learning process undertaken via online mode.
The association also appealed to all schools not to take any fee from students if the schools had not conducted any online class and other activities.
The association also went on to appeal schools to consider the economic condition of the families while collecting fees and even urged not to charge fees from students whose families have been severely affected by Covid.
Schools shall take their own decision in case the school has students who attend online classes but are not actually enrolled or admitted to the school yet, it said while appealing all parents concerned to admit their wards at the earliest.
The association also went on to encourage schools to adopt all possible means to ensure the teaching-learning process continues and students are inculcated new ideas and knowledge.
