LKKL denounces assault on minor

Leihou Khunai Kanba Luptin (LKKL) came out strongly against the incident of kidnapping and sexual assulat of an 11 year old girl from Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak.
In a press release, LKKL urged the Government to intervene and provide befitting punishments to the accused at the earliest.
It maintained that the matter should not be suppressed at any cost and it assured of extending all possible support in any activities to be taken up regarding the incident.
The Luptin also demanded that since the victim is a minor, all those involved in the crime should be booked under Juvenile Justice Act and POCSO Act and requested the family of the victim to reaffirm their stand against such crime so that similar incidents do not recur. Whoever involved in the crime irrespective of their backgrounds should not be spared and the family of the victim, meira paibis and local clubs should strive for justice and ensure that no agreement is made until and unless the accused is punished as per law.
