DLSA Thoubal organises "Online capacity building programme"

Thoubal , Jun 19: District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal under the supervision of Manipur State Legal Services Authority, Lamphelpat, Imphal organised a one day "Online capacity building programme" for Para Legal Volunteers and Panel Lawyers through Jitsi Meet video conferencing today.
The programme began with a welcome address by Chief Judicial Magistrate/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Thoubal, Shanta Devi while Binny Ngagom, District & Sessions Judge/Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal gave the Keynote address.
Resource person, Ch Momon Singh, Advocate, Panel Lawyer Manipur State Legal Services Authority also spoke on "Role of Panel Lawyers, PLVs and other stakeholders in effectively securing the rights of arrested persons in the lights of Arnesh Kumar vs State of Bihar & other judgement" while Sharda Yengkhom, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Thoubal gave the vote of thanks.
The programme was participated by the coordinators of Legal Aid Clinics, PLVs, Panel Lawyers under District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal and Retainer Lawyers of Front Office DLSA Thoubal.
It was also participated by representatives of local clubs, organisations and Meira Paibi.
