Northern Maram Students & Youths Organization (NMSYO), in a statement extended their appreciation to 33 AR, Maram for the positive gesture in returning the materials that were earlier seized by the security forces in the midnight raid at private residences of Kabaduikung villagers on June 7, 2021.
In the presence of 33 AR Second in Command, Uprety, the Security forces brought back the seized items, extended financial help to repair the damages caused, provided rice, mustard oil, egg and other edible items to the people.
In the simple programme, the second-in-command also interacted with the family members  of the victims.
Col Manoj Sharma, CO 33 AR extended his apology for the raid that was avoidable and assured NMSYO not to repeat such acts which may not go down well with the sentiment of the local populace.
The Commandant also assured all possible help to maintain a peaceful and harmonious environment between the security forces and the public at all levels.
NMYSO stated that the organisation considers the positive gesture of 33 AR as its holistic approach and understanding the sentiments of the local populace and assured positive relationship with 33 AR for common welfare of the area.
Further, the organization expressed its hope that the AR would continue to live up to its  motto “Friends of the Hills People”.
