RK Sushant organises 2nd COVID-19 Vaccination Camp for Northeast People

Manipuri actor and model Sushanta Rajkumar popularly known as RK Sushant organised the second round of vaccination camp for Northeast Indians residing in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohalic
The vaccination camp concluded yesterday and more than 200 people were vaccinated in total.
The 2nd vaccination camp which had a turnout of 175 people was arranged as promised during the launch of the vaccination drive, for the people who have missed the 1st vaccination camp that was organised on May 30 where 40 people from various parts of Northeast India were vaccinated.  
For the convenience of the people who had reached out to him for the vaccination, the actor arranged a bus service from his residence in Chandigarh to the vaccination site in Zirakpur. The vaccination was organised at Zirakpur which had a better facility where all the Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) could be strictly followed during the vaccination.
 Regarding the vaccination drive Sushanta said that he took up the initiative to start the vaccination drive for people from Northeast India staying in and around Chandigarh but have not been able to get vaccinated considering the health and safety for them who are away from home for work and studies.
He further added, “I am considering the rollout of such vaccination camps across major cities in India where Northeast Indians reside. We are still monitoring the responses and will take a call basis the requirement after consulting experts to ensure that the best support can be given to the people from the region.”
Covid-19 vaccination drive for people of Northeast India in Punjab was initiated by the actor who also runs a foundation called Pink Foundation after he learned about many Northeast Indians in Punjab struggling to get vaccinated from his fans and followers.
The vaccination drive was supported by a team of doctors and medical professionals from the Punjab Health Department. The two-phased vaccination drive has successfully inoculated 215 people in total who had contacted the actor from the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim in Northeast India. This second vaccination camp will conclude the vaccination drive in Punjab.
