3 arrested with dog carcasses

A team of Jiribam Police led by OC T Rameshwor Singh and Narcotic Cell led by ASI A Krishna Sharma apprehended three individuals alongwith 10 dog carcasses today near Chandrapur Oil Pump at around 6:30 AM.
The arrested individuals were identified as Jaujianthuan Guanmei (25), s/o Husung Guanmei of Sangrungpang village in Tamenglong district; Alanna Gangmei (35) and Crossby Gangmei (26), s/o Thuanbamnang Gangmei of Longmai Part IV in Noney District.
According to Police source, the dog carcasess were bought from Rameazang village in Cachar district of Assam and were being taken to Tamenglong market for sales.
An FIR has been filed against the apprehended individuals at Jiribam Police Station.
