IMPHAL, Jun 23 : 629 fresh positive cases. Nine more deaths. Daily positivity rate at 11.8 pc. This is how the figure of COVID-19 panned out in the last 24 hours and in the process took the cumulative number of positive cases to 65,622 and the total death toll to 1074.
Daily positivity rate continues to be in double digit at 11.8 percent.
On the other hand, a total of 543 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours to peg the recovery rate at 84.2 percent.
A statement issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room today said that a total of 629 persons including two Central security personnel tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours. Of the 627 civilians who tested positive, 313 were women.
All the positive cases were detected at RIMS (25), JNIMS (28), District Hospitals (430) and other testing centres (146).
The 627 positive cases from amongst the general population were reported from Imphal East (102), Imphal West (149), Thoubal (50), Bishnupur (69), Kakching (54), Ukhrul (17), Churachandpur (94), Chandel (9), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (57), Jiribam (1), Kangpokpi (16), Kamjong (1), Pherzawl (2) and Noney (1).
All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
On the other hand, a total of 9 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Imphal West accounted for (3), Imphal East (3), Bishnupur (1), Noney (1) and Churachandpur (1).  They passed away at  RIMS (3), JNIMS (3), Bishnupur (1), Noney (1) and Churachandpur (1).
A total of 543 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours of which 221 were from home isolation, 6 from RIMS, 11 from JNIMS, 103 from CCCs and 202 from CHICs. The recovery rate not stands at 84.2 percent with the total number of people discharged standing at 55,257 including 3761 Central security personnel.
The total number of cumulative cases now stands at 65,622 including 3808 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 9291 (general population-9249 and Central security personnel-42).
A total of 1728 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 419 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres in the last 24 hours.
The total number of persons who have received the vaccination shots is 504276.
The COVID-19 Common Control Room has also notified that any person whose oxygen level is below 94 percent should seek medical advice immediately or shift to a Covid Care Centre.
