AMUCO continues to extend help

Continuing its philanthropic activities All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) in association with All Manipur Muslim Development Organisation (AMMDO) and United Meitei Pangal Organisation (UMPO) distributed edible items to widows, handicapped persons and to the underprivileged and needy households at Keirang, Khomidok, Porompat and Kshetrigao in Imphal East district today.
The relief items were distributed to around 101 households, said a press release by AMUCO.
President of AMUCO, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, president of AMMDO FM Manawar Ali and president of UMPO Adil Yumkhaibam attended today's distribution programme.
Members of local clubs viz Progressive Youth Association (PYA), Khomidok Athletic and Sporting Club (KASC), Star Sporting Club (SSC) and  Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club extended their support in today's distribution programme held at different locations.
AMUCO in association with various organisations in the State has been helping the sections of the society who have been impacted badly by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and edible items have been distributed to around 3,600 (three thousand and six hundred) households across the State till date.
Further AMUCO asserted that the organisation will start look into the ongoing row in connection with the misappropriation of rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY).
AMUCO appealed to the people to keep a record of the quantity of deduction of rice under the said scheme by the agents concerned and AMUCO will take up appropriate steps accordingly.
Further AMUCO urged the MLAs and Ministers concerned not to support such agents who are involved in such wrongdoings.
