State players bag 9 medals in E-Kata National Karate Championship

Manipur players managed 9 medals including 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze in the E-Kata National Karate Championship which was organised by the International Shito Ryu Karate Federation India (ISKF-India) from July 14 to 16.
The organisers received more than 1000 entries from across the country for the event and a day was extended for the convenience of the judges, ISKF-India in a statement.
The players who made the State standout with the most number of medals are: Gold-Pratik Dahal (Jr boys 9 years and below), Atom Swami (Jr Boys 10&11 yrs), Laishram Yaiphaba (Under 21 Mix) and L Premjit Singh (Senior Men); Silver-Morina Ngasekpam (Cadet Girls 14&15 years), Anwar Ali Makakmayum (Cadet boys 14&15 years) and K Dorita Chanu (Junior Girls 16&17 years); and Bronze- Mongphamayum Komonika (bronze: Junior girls 9 years and below) and Meethoi Tonjam (Senior Women), the statement said.
Maharashtra players managed two gold and 1 silver medals at this event as West Bengal players secured 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals. Players representing Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, AR DG Team were also among units winning at least 1 gold medal in this event.
