Meeting convened

DIMAPUR, Jul 21: The Core Committee on Naga political issue held a meeting with NSCN-IM leaders in Dimapur on Wednesday.
Sources said that NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah also took part in the meeting. However, it was not certain what was transpired in the meeting.
According to sources, Core Committee on Naga political issue, NNPGs and NSCN-IM are likely to hold a joint meeting in future.
It can be mentioned that the core committee had met the NNPGs in Dimapur on Tuesday.
The Core Committee on Naga political issue was constituted by the Government of Nagaland last month.
Legislators of Nagaland Legislative Assembly are the members of the committee. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is the convenor of the committee and Opposition leader TR Zeliang is the co-convenor.
The main objective of the formation of the core committee is to pursue the Naga political issue.
On Tuesday, NNPGs leaders led by Kitovi and leaders of the Core Committee on Naga political issue led by Neiphiu Rio and TR Zeliang had met for the first time in Dimapur after the formation of the core committee. NNN
