Covid relief materials distributed

IMPHAL, Jul 23: Continuing its philanthropic activities, Yumnam Mombi Leima distributed relief items to households in the containment zones at Keirao Assembly Constituency today.
The relief items were distributed to around 25 households at Langdum and around 20 households at Urup Meitei with the support from youth clubs.
Speaking on the sidelines, Mombi Leima affirmed to continue to help the people of Keirao AC though her husband is in jail booked under NSA.
It may be mentioned that her husband, Yumnam Shanta Meetei was preparing to contest in the upcoming State Assembly Election from Keirao AC.
Further Mombi Leima appealed all to adhere to Covid SOPs laid by the authorities concerned and to get inoculated and get tested for COVID-19 if one develops any symptoms.
Meanhwhile, Imphal West District United Clubs Organisation (IWDUCO) under the aegis of All Manipur United Clubs Organisation (AMUCO) donated PPE kits, sanitisers and face shields to Community Home Isolation Centre opened at Pitambara English School in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC.
Further PPE kits were provided to United Youth Club at New Keithelmanbi area, said a press release by IWDUCO.
Later in association with Youths Foundation for Fitness and Service (YOFFS) Manipur, IWDUCO distributed medicines provided by Ayush Department to help in fighting the COVID-19 to the people.
President of IWDUCO, Khaidem Heramani Khaba and general secretary of YOFFS, Kh Ramanand were also present during the distribution drive, added the statement.
