Mass Covid vaccination camps conducted

IMPHAL, Jul 24: United Youth Club of New Keithelmanbi under the aegis of All Manipur United Club Organisation (AMUCO) organised a mass Covid vaccination programme at the community hall of New Keithelmanbi today.
The programme was sponsored by District Administration of Imphal West and a medical team led by senior MO of PHC Khumbong, Dr A Ronibala vaccinated the locals and staff of SDC Konthoujam extended help in today's programme, said a statement by the club.
The locals of the area and truck drivers were given the jab of Covid vaccine and altogether 270 individuals were vaccinated in the said programme.
OC in charge of Keithelmanbi Police Outpost, SI Laishram Premchand distributed face masks, sanitizers and drinking water bottles to all those who came for the vaccination. A team of AMUCO led by its president, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang and secretary organisation (in-charge), Koijam Santosh came and supported the programme.
Imphal East
Continuing the mass Covid vaccination and advocacy programme in rehabilitation centres, Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) and Union of Private Rehabilitation Centre Kangleipak (UPRECK) conducted mass Covid vaccination drive for the inmates undergoing treatment at Living Hope at Mantripukhri, Realize Rehabilitation Centre (RRC) at Mongjam Chingjin and Anouba Mayol at Khuningthek Khundrakpam today.
Under this initiative of CCSK and UPRECK, around 92 individuals have been vaccinated till date and the drive will be continued for those who have been approved by doctors, said a press release by CCSK.
Further it appealed to all centres concerned to register under UPRECK and take the benefits of such initiatives and called for support and cooperation from Government, organisations, local clubs/associations and other centres.
Awang Khunou
A COVID-19 mass vaccination camp was held at the community hall of Awang Khunou Mamang Leikai today organised by Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) Chain of Freedom Foundation in association with Youth Development Association (YDA) of Awang Khunou Mamang Leikai.
More than 250 individuals were inoculated with the Covid vaccine in today's camp and a Medical Team of RD Wing led by Dr Lairenmayum Thomson conducted the camp, said a press release by MSF.
Further the student body appealed to issue a guideline for the vaccination of drug users community and those undergoing treatments at various rehabilitation centre.
Pourabi
Under the aegis of District Administration Imphal East District, COVID-19 Joint Task Force Pourabi organised a mass Covid vaccination drive at Pourabi community hall yesterday where 156 persons were vaccinated.
Also a mass Covid testing was conducted today at the same place in which 46 persons were found to be Covid positive out of 300 people tested today, said a press release by the task force.
