Kakching district to get 1386.76 tonne of rice till November

IMPHAL, Jul 25: The 4 Assembly Constituencies of Kakching district have a total share of 13,86,760 kg of rice for every month till November under NFSA and PMGKAY.
As per the information received from CAF&PD, the number of total ration card holders is 33,944 and it encompasses 130,259 beneficiaries.
Kakching AC has 8028 card holders and 30,203 beneficiaries, while Sugnu AC has 8428 card holders and 33,699 beneficiaries. Wabagai AC has 8752 card holders and 34,934 beneficiaries and Hiyanglam AC has 8636 card holders and 31,423 beneficiaries.
Under the NFSA scheme, an AAY card holder household is to be given 35 kg or rice per month while those with PHH ration cards are given a total of 5 kg of rice per person per month. All these rations are priced at Rs 3 per kg. The share of each constituencies (in kg) per month are Wabagai-1,74,670 (PMGKAY) and 1,95,380 (NFSA); Kakching-1,51,015 (PMGKAY) and 1,67,585;PMGKAY (NFSA); Hiyanglam-1,57,115 (PMGKAY) and 1,86,640 (NFSA) and Sugnu- 1,68,495 (PMGKAY) and 1,87,860 (NFSA).
