JAC urges

IMPHAL, Jul 25 : The JAC against the 'killing' of Riyashad Ali of Sangaiyumpham Part-1 has urged the  State Government and the club/association of Leishangthem to bring all 'perpetrators' involved in the alleged killing of the 22-year-old youth to book at the earliest.
A press release issued by the JAC said that Riyashad Ali was beaten to death by a group of people at Leishangthem Khong Manung, while the two companions of the deceased were abandoned as dead.
Lauding the Police Department for arresting some of the persons involved in the case, the JAC appealed  to the authority concerned to arrest the remaining accused and reward them befitting punishment.
Saying that certain clubs/associations of Leishangthem pleading to release the accused is rather disappointing,  the JAC asked if they will plead the same if the victim is their relative.
The JAC also charged there is a gang of killers operating at the area as the victim was killed instantly on the charge of lifting a vehicle without giving him the opportunity to respond.
Sangaiyumpham Khunou Youth Development Organisation and Puleipokpi  Social Welfare Association Sangaiyumpham also condemned the incident.
