Lukhoi urges

IMPHAL, Jul 25 : Agriculture Minister Oinam Lukhoi has urged the people of Wangoi AC to get vaccinated at the earliest to make the Constituency a fully vaccinated and COVID-19 free Constituency.
Oinam Lukhoi said this while getting his second dose of the vaccine at a mass vaccination camp held at Wangoi market yesterday and added that if all the people are vaccinated against COVID-19, it will be easier to deal with the virus if and when the third wave arrives.
He also appealed everyone to drop vaccine hesitancy as the vaccines have been proven to be safe by various institutes and experts and added people should get tested for COVID-19 if they have any doubt they might have contracted the virus. Early detection and treatment are vital for effective treatment of COVID-19, he added.
The Minister also informed that as of July 23, 15,766 individuals out of the eligible population of 28,567 in Wangoi AC have been vaccinated, which is about 55% of the total eligible population of the Constituency. He added that 21 vaccination centres are open in the AC in addition to CHC Wangoi and HWC Samurou.
