IMPHAL, Jul 25 : For the third consecutive day, that is from July 23 to July 25, Manipur logged more than 1000 positive cases with July 25 returning a figure of 1207 new positive cases.
The 1207 new cases came after testing a total of 8327 samples to return a daily positivity rate of 14.5 percent.
On July 23, the total number of positive cases registered was 1284 and on July 24 it was 1198.
Manipur came under total curfew from July 18 and since then till date, the State has logged a total of 8808 new cases and 113 deaths. The average positivity rate from July 18 to July 25 is 16.9 percent.
Along with 1207 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the State also logged 13 deaths in the same period of time.
Quoting the State Level  COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement said that the deceased belonged to Imphal West (3), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (2), Chandel (2), Tamenglong (1) and Churachandpur (1).
Out of the 13 persons who passed away due to the virus, seven persons had co-morbidities and only five had been vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine, added the COVID-19 Common Control Room. With the addition of 13 more deaths the cumulative number of deaths in Manipur is now 1478.
Out of the total 1207 persons found Covid positive in the last 24 hours, 4 were Central security personnel, it said and added that out of the 1203 civilians, 622 were women.
The positive cases were confirmed at RIMS (43), JNIMS (84), District Hospitals (822), and other testing centres (258).
The 1203 positive cases from amongst the civil population are from Imphal East (294), Imphal West (325), Thoubal (106), Bishnupur (99), Kakching (58), Ukhrul (11), Churachandpur (105), Chandel (44), Senapati (3), Tamenglong (40), Tengnoupal (17), Kangpokpi (54), Kamjong (4), Pherzawl (1), Jiribam (14) and Noney (28).
All necessary precautionary measures like containment and contact tracings have been taken up said the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The cumulative number of positive persons is now 92,667 including 3966 Central security personnel, said the statement and added that the total number of active cases is 10,581 including 64 Central security personnel.
During the same time, 864 persons were discharged from home isolation (315), RIMS (2), JNIMS (7), CCCs (229) and CHICs (311).
The total number of recovered cases now stands at 80,608 including 3897 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate has dipped to 86.98 percent.
On July 24 a total of 30,667 persons received their vaccination shots to take the total to 11,94,736.
And out of the total those who have received their second dose is 1,65,300.
A total of 2221 D Type Oxygen cylinders and  395 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres in the last 24 hours.
