IMPHAL, Jul 26 : Highest daily positivity rate of 20.2 percent in the last two months, 989 new infections and 9 deaths in the last 24 hours marked the ninth day of the 10 days total curfew which came into force from July 18.
Out of a total of 4,888 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 989 returned positive results to take the cumulative figure of positive cases in the State to 93,656 including 3968 Central security personnel.
The 989 positive cases include two Central security personnel and out of the 987 civilians who returned positive results, 475 are males.
The positive cases were detected at RIMS (15), JNIMS (114), District Hospitals (642) and other testing centres (218).
In the last 24 hours, the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee reported 9 deaths due to the virus, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement.
The deceased belonged to  Imphal West (3), Imphal East (2), Bishnupur (1), Kangpokpi (1) and Churachandpur (2).
With nine more, the total number of deaths in the State has gone up to 1487 and out of the nine deaths, six persons had co-morbidities, said the statement. None of them were vaccinated.
The 987 new cases were drawn from Imphal East (255), Imphal West (209), Thoubal (136), Bishnupur (115), Kakching (43), Ukhrul (12), Churachandpur (57), Chandel (91), Senapati (21), Tamenglong (23), Tengnoupal (3), Kangpokpi (2), Pherzawl (2) and Jiribam (18).
Necessary measures including containment and contact tracings have been taken up.
In the last 24 hours, 1037 persons were discharged including from home isolation (525), RIMS (43), JNIMS (14), CCCs (169) and CHICs (286).
The cumulative number of recovered cases is now 81,645 including 3906 Central security personnel taking the recovery rate to 87.17 percent.
The number of active cases is 10,524 including 57 Central security personnel.
On July 25 a total of 11007 Covid vaccines were administered taking the total number of vaccination to 10,39,214. Out of the total the number of people who have received their second shot is 1,66,529.
A total of 2160 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 463 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State.
Giving the status of vacant COVID-19 beds in different hospitals, the COVID-19 Common Control Room said that Iland Hospital has 11 beds (9540404955/7085206820), MSF Little Flower School has 8 (9311222947), CMC Koirengei 16 and 3 ICU beds, Iboyaima Hospital 13 and 1 in ICU (7005436870/9612022125) 13 and 1 ICU,  Jivan Hospital 15 and 5 ICU (9366034272/7085348366), Shija Hospital 3 ICU beds (7005097688/7005125158) and Raj Medicity 4 and 5 ICU beds (7005105552/9366496411).
