IMPHAL, Sep 18 : As a part of his continuous yeomen service and in connection with the 71st birthday celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, owner of The Sangai Express Nishikant Singh Sapam has today reached out to a paralysed/immobile resident of Khoubuk village under Sugnu Assembly Constituency with edibles and monetary aid.
Redefining that social work should has no boundary, Nishikant Singh, who is gearing up to contest in the forthcoming State Assembly election from Keishamthong AC, and his team visited Khoubuk village which is 82 kms away from Imphal and provided edibles including rice, dal, potato, salt, ngari apart from extending a sum of Rs 1 lakh to the family of bed-ridden Chingangbam Kumar.
On the sidelines of his visit, Nishikant told the gathering that the aid was extended acting on an appeal for aid he received on Facebook Messenger of his official Facebook page.
Meanwhile, Kumar's spouse Rosita expressed profound gratitude to Nishikant Singh for his invaluable support to her family and maintained that the aid will be tremendously helpful in bearing treatment charges of her husband.
