Bike rally to create awareness on COVID-19 held

IMPHAL, Sep 19: In connection with the Nationwide celebration of 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a bike rally to create awareness on COVID-19 was flagged off from Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Lampak today morning by Education Minister, S Rajen Singh.
The bike rally was organised by BJP Patsoi Mandal in association with Dr S Krishnananda, Senior Ophthalmic surgeon at the University Hospital Derby and Bruton HNS Trust, United Kingdom.
The bike rally was participated by around thousand youths and BJP karyakartas.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Education Minister S Rajen Singh said that the bike rally would go a long way in generating awareness on COVID-19 in Patsoi Assembly Constituency and Manipur as a whole.
Lauding Dr S Krishnananda and BJP karyakartas for taking up the initiative, he appealed the youths in Patsoi AC to work collectively for the betterment of the society.
The Minister also assured to extend possible support in the social, humanitarian and developmental works carried out by Dr S Krishnananda and BJP Patsoi Mandal.
Dr S Krishnananda also appealed to the people of Patsoi AC to make concerted efforts in fighting the ongoing dreaded COVID-19 pandemic and emphasized on the role of youths in today's society.
