New scheme of exams for Group III & IV spelt out

IMPHAL, Sep 19: The Government has issued an order regarding the new scheme of examinations for Group III and IV posts in line with the Government's order of March 28, 2017 which discontinued the stage of interview in direct recruitment for junior level posts (Group III and IV), said an order issued by the Chief Secretary yesterday.
The written test for the said exams will have 1 paper of 100 MCQ questions carrying 1 mark each with a duration of 3 hours. There would be no negative marks for incorrect answers or unattempted questions.
For Group III posts, the paper will comprise of 25 questions each from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and English language while the paper for Group IV posts will consist of 50 questions from General Knowledge and 25 each from Basic Maths and English language. The questions for Group III will be set at Graduate level and Matriculate level for Group IV posts.
