UDH PSA Oxygen Plant yet to start operation

Ukhrul, Sep 18: The PSA Oxygen plant of Ukhrul District Hospital is yet to start operation even after four persons were recruited as they are without technical training on how to handle the machine.
Speaking to media persons, District Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Reisangmi stated that the PSA oxygen plant was inaugurated by CM N Biren Singh on August 9 as a part of his maiden visit to Ukhrul.
He said that the oxygen plant has not generated any oxygen till date as the appointed technicians still need to undergo training on how to produce and refill oxygen from the plant.
Dr Reisangmi stressed on the need to provide technical training to the appointed technicians as soon as possible to start generating oxygen from the plant and ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen in the hospital.
He also informed that UDH requires at least 26-30 D-type oxygen cylinders daily.
