Non SoO group claims responsibility

KANGPOKPI, Sep 18: The non-SoO Kuki militant outfit, KNF (Non-SoO) group has claimed responsibility for firing at a truck on September 13 at Champhai area along National Highway 2 in Kangpokpi district.
Jerix Vaiphei, information and publicity secretary of the outfit said that a total shutdown was imposed on September 13, Sahnit Ni, the Kuki's Black Day restricting the movement of vehicles, closing of all administrative office functioning and business establishments. However the restrictions were violated in some areas and the party was compelled to take action, he added. The outfit fired upon the truck as a warning, he added.
He also added that the outfit will no longer tolerate such violation in the future and mockery or going against the outfit and also warned that such violations will not be excused in future.
He further said that as informed earlier, anyone violating the shutdown should be his or her own responsibility, we clarify to the public that the outfit should not be held responsible for the September 13 incident.
