Nemcha Kipgen inaugurates Letpao Health Care Centre at Motbung

KANGPOKPI, Sep 19: Letpao Health Care Centre, the first of its kind in Motbung Model village and adjoining area was inaugurated on Saturday by Kangpokpi AC MLA, Nemcha Kipgen at Motbung.
Letpao Health Care Centre (LHC Centre) is a childhood dream of Dr David Paoginsei Lhouvum to help the people with health care facilities at an affordable price and promote good health especially among the deprived, marginalized and economically weaker section of the society.
Kaisei Elmun, Chief of Motbung and Kamm Elmun, IDES Retd attended the inaugural ceremony as presidium members while Dr Rev V Sitlhou, president TBA-I dedicated the health care centre.
Nemcha Kipgen inspected the health care centre and expressed her delight in witnessing such a well equipped health care centre in the area.
Speaking at the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen said, "While many youngsters are engaged in various deadly drugs and other unhealthy habits, I am extremely delighted to witness a young doctor embarking on activities to save human lives by setting up such a good health care centre in the Motbung area".
Nemcha Kipgen lauded the effort of Dr David Paoginsei Lhouvum and appealed to the people to come forward and render their cooperation to the health care centre.
Lunminthang Elmun, father of Dr David Paoginsei Lhouvum and chairman of Letpao Health Care Centre said that it was a childhood dream of his son to established a health care centre in loving memory of his grandfather Letpao Elmun while adding that the doctor had already established two dental clinics at Kangpokpi District Headquarters and Kanglatongbi/Charhajare.
Dr David Paoginsei Lhouvum said that the health care centre would provide facilities such as OPD and diagnosis on skin, medicine, Gynae, Chest, Paediatrics, Ortho, ENT along with emergency medicine patients, general ward, Gynae Ward and Minor OT.
He continued that an ambulance service, ECG machine, all types of blood test, X-ray, Ultrasound is also available in the centre.
Elmun Council Kangpokpi block, TYA Sadar Hills, Thadou Inpi Sadar Hills, Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi District and various other civil society organizations also attended the inaugural ceremony.
