Mizoram reports 1,104 new cases, two deaths

Mizoram’s Covid19 situation continues to remain grim with the death of two more persons due to infection in the last 24 hours and detection of 1,104 new positive cases.
With these, Mizoram’s Covid19 death toll has increased to 259.
Mizoram so far has reported a total of 79,171 Covid-19 positive cases.
The positivity rate stood at 20.76% on Sunday.
According to the health bulletin updated by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Mizoram at 5 pm on Saturday, a total of 652 recovered from the deadly infection.
Of the recoveries, 481 people recovered in Aizawl, 97 in Lunglei, 40 in Kolasib, 32 in Champhai and 2 patients recovered in Saitual district.
The recovery rate stood at 82.82%.
On Saturday, Mizoram reported 1,476 positive cases and the active cases stood at 14,295.
The positivity rate stood at 17.58% on Saturday.
Mizoram currently has a total of 14,456 active cases.
Of total active cases in Mizoram, Aizawl district has 9,206 cases, Lunglei – 831, Siaha – 1,043, Champhai – 610, Kolasib – 593, Serchhip – 550, Lawngtlai – 872, Mamit – 501, Khawzawl – 156, Hnahthial – 77 and Saitual has 17 active cases. North East Now
