22 detained

IMPHAL, Sep 19 : At least 22 persons were detained by the State police on Sunday for violating the mandated guidelines for COVID-19 in Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal.
Of the 22, 20 violators were from Thoubal while the remaining two were from Imphal East and Imphal West.
From them, Rs 3,750 was collected as fine. They were released after warning. So far, the State police have collected Rs 2,58,22,450 as fine. The police department, in a statement, warned that those who violate the Covid guidelines will be dealt with strong legal actions.
