Hindi Pakhwada celebration continues

Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Thoubal in continuation with Hindi Pakhwada celebrations organised Hindi essay writing and Hindi poem writing competitions for youths at Leisangthem and Keibung on September 19-20.
Prizes were later handed out to the winners of the competitions by volunteers of NYK Thoubal, said a statement of NYK Thoubal.
Hindi Diwas Fortnight of NYK Thoubal was launched at Conference Hall, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal on September 14 where experts gave lectures on usage of Hindi language as a Rajbhasa.
Hindi Pakhwada is celebrated to raise awareness about the language and to commemorate the event when it was declared as one of the official languages of India.
As part of this celebration, students and youths were encouraged to participate in various singing, writing and declamation competitions to promote the learning and usage of Hindi.
In this regard, NYK Thoubal volunteers had also organized Hindi writing competitions at Phouden on September 15 and at Wangoo Tera Awang Leikai on September 16.
