RAU vs CFA in 1st Col Ksh Arunkumar Memorial Futsal tourney final

IMPHAL, Sep 27 : The Rising Athletic Union (RAU), Lairikyengbam Leikai will face off with Classic Football Academy (CFA), Chingmeirong in the ultimate clash of the 1st Col Kshetrimayum Arunkumar Memorial Futsal Tournament tomorrow at Poloi Artificial Turf, Chingarel Tejpur.
RAU made it to the final with a comfortable 7-4 win against FC Lamjao in the second semi-final match today after CFA overwhelmed Star Sporting Club (SSC), Porompat 10-1 in the first semi-final encounter.
Gogocha (5', 26', 37') and Ganningam (16', 18', 37') hit trebles for CFA in their big win that confirmed their place in the final as Samson added twice (8', 19') while Y Banty (25') and P Govin (37') pumped in one goal apiece.
The lone goal for the Porompat team was scored by Bogimayum Imtiyas in the 11th minute.
Later in the second semi-final match, RAU and FC Lamjao were locked at 2-2 till the break but the Lairikyengbam Leikai side raced ahead in the latter half riding on N Rakesh treble (22', 35', 39') to secure the 7-4 win.
Kushal Thapa (10', 39'), Dabar (6') and L Sushil (24') too found the target for RAU as L Kishan (7', 13', 38') and S Punsiba (24') did the scoring for the Lamjao team.
The tournament is sponsored by Ksh (O) Chandralekha Devi and Family and organised by the All Manipur Football Association.
