Jettwings Group of Institutes celebrates 15th convocation day
GUWAHATI, Jan 12
The Jettwings Group of Institutes celebrated its annual convocation for the 15th consecutive year to confer the degrees on the eligible graduates of the Academic Year 2020-21 at its Central Campus at Guwahati on January 10.
The event was graced by Shriniwas, National Joint Organizing Secretary of ABVP as the Chief Guest among other dignitaries including Dr Binita Bhagawati, Principal of KK Handique Govt Sanskrit College, Guwahati and president of Seemanta Chetana Manch Purvottar and Executive Member of Gauhati University, Nirav Ghelani, Zonal Organizing Secretary, ABVP (NE), Dr Biswajit Sarma, Director of College Development Council (CDC), Gauhati University and a host of other dignitaries, professors, teachers and students, said a statement by the Jettwings Group of Institutes
The students put up a well performed cultural event with various regional dance, songs and chorus performances making the event livelier, followed by conferring of respective degrees to the students by the dignitaries.
Talking about the extensive indigenous variety found among the students of Jettwings, Shriniwas said, “The beauty of Northeast India lies in the varied culture and its people. Today, being a part of this event, I witnessed the same. The very essence of NE’s beautiful and rich culture, which was brought to the stage by the students from different corners of the region, was a pleasure to the eyes. As a batch graduates today, I hope these young children continue to pursue their dreams and make us proud going ahead”.
Adding to that, Managing Director of Jettwings, Barsha Adtya Singh said, “Jettwings has always been about inclusive learning, be it in terms of course curriculum or intake of students. We have been training students largely from the remote places of the region, grooming and placing them with various organizations of international repute.”
Talking about inclusive learning culture, she also mentioned about the change that was incorporated in the training module, post COVID-19.
In the convocation, students were awarded their diploma degrees and top meritorious students were awarded as the “Brightest Star of the Year” of the respective institutes under the brand umbrella of Jettwings.
Jettwings has had an excellent training & placement record with over 15,000 students since inception. 90% of the graduating batch, with a strength of over 1040 students are already placed, with the remaining 10 % placements aligned in January.
It is worth mentioning that the “Brightest Star of the Year of Jettwings School of Aviation” was conferred to Amrutaa Vibho, who is now a student of the Stanford University. She has been working closely with NASA on a research about Dark Matter and International Institute for Aeronautical Science for a Citizen Astronaut Program.  Hinting on the coming of a new campus for Fashion Design and Architecture under Gauhati University at Guwahati City the ceremony was concluded.
