Tousem Area Students' Organisation appeals

TAMENGLONG, Jan 24
The Tousem Area Students' Organisation (TASO) has appealed to the authority concerned to take prior consent from the Village Authority before carrying out any developmental activities in Tamenglong District.
In a release, TASO reiterated its stand to not compromise even an inch of land of Tousem Sub-division.
"Whatever our forefathers have inherited since time immemorial belong to us", it added.
TASO expressed its reservations against the recent bandh imposed on National Highway 37 by Ngamkhei Kanba Lup Jiribam.
 "We condemn such activities which disturb the peaceful coexistence between the two districts", it asserted.
The student body also warned of legal actions against the perpetrators to install peace and harmony in the area.
TASO further appealed to the Government to look into the matter at the earliest to prevent any untoward incidents in the future.
