Dept cancels trade certificates of unauthorised dealers

IMPHAL, Jan 25 : Transport Department, Government of Manipur has canceled the trade certificates of 17 unauthorised dealers in the State as per a notification issued on January 25.
Sale of motor vehicles by the 17 unauthorised dealers are henceforth deemed illegal and people are directed to refrain from making their purchases from these agencies as their vehicles will not be registered in the State, the notification informed.
The 17 unauthorised dealers are: M/S Radha Motors, Chingmeirong; M/S Yaima Motors & Associates, Khuyathong; M/S Prince Motors, Thangmeiband; M/S SK Sales Corporation, Thangal Bazar; M/S Lairembi Motors, Thangal Bazar; M/S AKP Traders, Khuyathong Road; M/S Agro Motors, near Khansari Sugar Factory, Thoubal; M/S Mechanics Co-operative Workshop, Khuyathong Road; M/S Bharati Enterprises, Sagolband Tera Bazar; M/S Imphal Motors, Khuyathong ABC Godown; M/S Abungo Automobiles, Thangal Bazar; M/S Sahaj Automobile, Khuyathong Road; M/S Radhesana Enterprises, Khuyathong; M/S Ganesh Enterprises, Thangmeiband; M/S Sayani Motors, Khuyathong; M/S Roshni Motors, Lamding Cherapur, Thoubal and M/S Thongam Motors, Purana Rajbari II, Wangkhei Road IE.
The notification issued by Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam, Director of Transport has also instructed motor vehicle dealers to initiate the Dealer Point Registration System for registration of newly bought vehicles.
Further, as per the notification, applications for registration of new vehicles bought from outside the State must be accompanied with the Temporary Regulation Certificate (TRC) from the concerned RTO and uploaded in VAHAN 4.0 as well as applications for assignment of new registration numbers to those vehicles already registered in other State should be submitted with No Objection Certification (NOC) from the concerned RTO and uploaded in VAHAN 2.0.
Application for registration of new vehicles should be applied only with the Sale Certificate issued by authorized motor dealers with valid trade certificates issued by the competent authority only, the notification added.
