TKS boycotts Republic Day, urges schools not to participate

UKHRUL, Jan 25: The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) has informed all the schools within the jurisdiction of Ukhrul district to refrain from attending the Republic Day celebration.
In a statement issued today, TKS president Shimri Raising and general secretary Yuimi Vashun said the decision was taken following the call by Naga Students' Federation (NSF) and All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) to refrain from attending the celebration as a protest against the indifferent attitude of Indian Government by backtracking the ongoing Indo-Naga peace talk.
TKS urged all the schools to abide by the call for non-coopertion movement against the Indian Government.
