IMPHAL, Jan 27
All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has strongly condemned the total shutdown imposed in the areas of the State under Panchayat jurisdiction on January 27 amid the ongoing pre-board examinations of Class 10 and 12.
The association in a press note has stated the total shutdown has caused inconveniences to the aspiring students who are appearing in the ongoing pre-board examinations conducted in different schools across the State and termed it really unfortunate.
Expressing discontent over the imposition of total shutdown in spite of the repeated appeals made by the association not to call any forms of bandhs, blockade or general strikes during the pre-examinations, the association maintained that such an act has harassed the students and posed hindrance in their aspirations since its a crucial time for them.
To avoid such unwanted inconveniences in future, AMRPSWA has appealed to all concerned to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
