CPI intending candidate from Khurai Constituency, RK Amusana has categorically stated that the BJP led Government is attempting to erase the principles of a 'secular, socialist, republic' India embedded in the Indian Constitution.
According to a press release issued by Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI), RK Amusana expressed this sentiment during a meeting held at Khurai Angom Leikai today.
Speaking further, RK Amusana stated that India has upholded the spirit of secularism since it's attainment of freedom in 1947, however, the Narendra Modi led Government has relentlessly attempted to sow seeds of discord between the Hindu and Muslim community, he alleged.
Further, he accused the BJP of opening a pandora's box by colluding with the RSS and opening old wounds with regards to the partition to further cause division among the citizens of the country, he added.
RK Amusana vehemently decried such tactics and asserted the CPI's stand against it.
