GDC break losing streak with 2-0 win over YWA

IMPHAL, Sep 30 : DGC, Thinungei broke their 2-game losing run in the 16th N Balananda Singh Memorial 2nd Division Football League with a 2-0 win over YWA-Ningthoukhong today at Mini Stadium Bishnupur.
The two sides were evenly matched early on and held off one another well to play out a barren first half. GDC however made the most of the chances in the second half through H Rooney (41') and K Bikash (44') to take a 2-0 lead and eventually sealed their first victory with the same margin as YWA failed to stage a fight back.
Angel Club-Thinungei will play GDC in the next match on October 2 in the first ground before LYVO-Chothe meet YWA later in the day.
