36th National Games-Gujarat 2022 Cyclist Ronaldo clinches another gold as Manipur rack up four gold medals on Day 4

IMPHAL, Oct 2 : Having opened his gold medal account in the 1 km Time Trial, cyclist L Ronaldo won another gold medal for Manipur today in the 36th National Games being underway in Gujarat.
Ronaldo won his second gold medal in the 200 m sprint with a time of 10.17 seconds before State's women team of T Manorama, M Sonali, Kh Rejiya and I Matouleibi claimed another gold in the 4 km women's team pursuit event with a time of 5:02.077 (5 minutes and 2.077 seconds).
The day also saw Chingangbam Ranju Singh winning Manipur a gold medal in skate board event.
In Rowing, Huidrom Tendenthoi and Thangjam Priya paired up well to win women's 2km double skull gold taking 7 minutes and 0.98 seconds. Meanwhile in the 2 km coxless four women's competition, M Ciya, A Monika, M Merina and H Roshni secured a bronze medal taking 7 minutes 20.40 seconds.
 Gymnast Sanasam Ruben Meitei added another bronze medal to State's tally in the vaulting table as he finished with 13.36 pts while weightlifter K Roshilata finished third in women's 64 kg event to win Manipur another bronze medal.
Other events on Day 4
Squash : Manipur team lost 0-3, 0-3, 0-2 to Madhya Pradesh at IIT Gandhinagar Squash Court.
Lawn Bowl-Triples : Manipur suffered a 17-16 loss to hosts Gujarat in a keenly contested league match at Kensville Golf and Country Club.
Archery : Okram Naobi was assured of a silver and a gold medal as she entered the final of women's individual Indian round event with a 6-5 win over Pooja Kumari of Bihar in the semi-final.
Earlier in the day, Naobi beat Meghana Krishna of Kerala in the first round, Sapana Kumari of Bihar in the second round and Hiramani Singku of Jharkhand in the third round.
Laiphrakpam Rojina however suffered a semi-final loss going down 4-6 to Rathva Amita Ganpatbhai of Gujarat.
The State Indian Round team  also made it to the final with a 6-2 win over hosts Gujarat.
Men's Indian Round Archery : Chingakham Nelson won the individual Indian Round first round 6-2 against host Pavan Chauhan Anilbai in Ahmedabad today.
In other first round clashes, Mutum Chingkhei beat Arvind Chaudhary of Uttar Pradesh 6-4, Laishram Naoton lost 4-6 to Divyansh Suri of Jammu and Kashmir,  K Borish beat Dasarath Rajagopal of Kerala 6-0 In women's first round clashes, L Tomthinnganbi beat Jharkhand's Asrita Biruly 6-2, Wangkhem Maleshori Devi lost 2-6 to Rutuja Vinayak Pawar of Maharashtra, Laiphrakpam Rojina beat Punam Singh of Bihar 6-0.
Football : Manipur played out a 1-1 draw with Services Sports Control Board.
