Chandel First Division and Second Division Football League Tournaments begin

IMPHAL, Oct 3 : ADC Chandel First Division Football League and DC Chandel Second Division Football League Tournaments kicked off today under the supervision of District Sports Association, Chandel at Liwa Sarei Ground and Ziontlang Village Ground today.
In the opening match of the ADC Chandel First Division League, Kankhu Athletic Club (AC) thrash Anal Khunou YC 5-2 thanks to Pahring double.
It was an attacking football with both teams creating chances from the word go but Kankhu AC opened the scoring early in the 3rd minute before Mahring doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute.
For Anal Khunou YC, Berash converted a penalty kick in the 35th minute to make it 1-2 till halfway but Kankhu AC raced ahead in the second half with Malsom (55'), Darthangthing (57') and Pahring (78') taking their turns to net a goal each.
Ningson found another goal for Anal Khunou YC two minutes into the stoppage time (80+2') to make the final scoreline read 2-5.
The second division football league opener at Liwa Sarei Ground also turned out to be a one sided encounter as Chana (50', 51', 67', 71') scored four goals to give Cheengkhu YC a 6-1 win over Unopat YC.
The two sides were goalless till the break but Vipson (42') ended the drought to earn Cheengkhu YC the lead before Suraj doubled the advantage (49') and Chana took charge of the attack. Royngam scored the consolation goal for Unopat YC in the 76th minute.
