Comrade Moirangthem Ibohal condoled

Many have condoled the demise of Comrade Moirangthem Ibohal popularly known as 'MI', a close associate of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot.
A condolence meeting was held at the residence of Comrade Santa at Top Mayai Leikai in Kshetrigao AC today organised by the CPI, Kshetrigao Local Council.
The attendees observed two minute silence as a mark of honour to the departed soul.
Imphal East District Council CPI too organised a condolence meeting at the CPI District Office, Khurai today.
Many prominent members of Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) who were present at the condolence meeting recounted the remarkable contributions of Comrade Moirangthem Ibohal.
A condolence meeting was also held today at Kakching Khunou organised by Thoubal District CPI.
Members of CPI Wangkhei and Yaiskul Council also visited the cremation site of the departed leader and paid red salute. The party flag was also flown at half mast, said a press release by MSC/CPI.
During the condolence meeting held at different locations, the attendees spoke on the life history of the leader who strove earnestly for the upliftment of farmers and working class.
He also served as the Commander-in-chief of the Red Guard and was imprisoned several times for rebelling against the then British rule.
The departed eminent leader made dedicated efforts for the welfare of the society and actively participated in the important issues of the State as well.
