KANGPOKPI, Oct 4: SMT Haipi thrashed L Lhangjol Youth Club yesterday evening after the Sunday break in the ongoing KFA's Open Night Football Tournament at D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi District amidst heavy fog and unpleasant weather conditions.
SMT Haipi exhibited a brilliant performance to secure a 3-0 win against L Lhangjol Youth Club with goals from Ngamneo (2'), Ngamboi (15') and Luntinhao (43').
In the second match, a poker from Lamgunlal (16', 28', 42', 53') and Obed's 63rd-minute goal gave Kuki Football Academy Junior (A) team an easy 5-0 win over debutant Vengthah Kangpokpi.
In the third match, TSMT Bungpi Area thumped Golngai Lom 3-0.
Thangminlen hit a brace (3', 58') in this big win for TSMT Bungpi Area as Paolenlal (41') netted one.
