28th Annual Assembly cum Foundation Day of NWU held

NONEY, Oct 5 : The 28th Annual Assembly cum Foundation Day of Naga Women's Union (NWU) was held today at Longmai Auditorium Hall, Longmai-3, Noney district.
During the programme hosted by Rongmei Naga Luh Phwam Manipur (RNLPM), LM Tabitha, former president of NWU unfurled the Naga Women's flag.
Asha Wungnam, president NWU led the presentation while Veronica Zingkhai elaborated on the history of NWU.
Santhuiliu Wijunamai, vice president NWU appreciated the RNLPM for hosting the annual assembly.
After the conclusion of the assembly session, Chamdanliu Kamei, president RNLPM de-hoisted the flag and Kaisa Kashipri, finance secretary NWU led the closing prayer.
Later, delegates of NWU also visited the tallest pier bridge (railway tower) in the world at Khumji and Longkhuibut Eco Park at Longmai Part-2 in Noney district.
Ts Hringnary Anal, S Ari Poumai and Dr Solemwon Ramsan also attended the event as speaker, deputy speaker and secretary respectively.
About 150 delegates from 22 Naga Tribes took part in the annual assembly.
