Manipur cruise into Junior Boys Subroto Cup quarterfinals

IMPHAL, Oct 5 : Manipur's CT Higher Secondary School eased to the quarterfinals of the 61st Junior Boys (U-17) Subroto Cup with a 5-1 win over Karnataka in the last Pool-E match at Tejas Football Ground today.
Having edged past CBSE in the opening match and crushed Daman and Diu by 20-0 goals yesterday in the second match, State lads continued to dominate the game today against Karnataka's St Xavier High School-Belgaum to seal a 5-1 win.
Bhaskar shone in the match as he scored thrice including the opener (8', 20', 61') and Annaroy (47') and Monex (51'-Penalty) netted a goal apiece.
