8th Young Leaders Connect to be held today

IMPHAL, Oct 6: North East Leaders Connect (NELC) is gearing up to conduct the 8th Young Leaders Connect (YLC) annual conclave at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound on October 7.
This was shared by Hekani Jakalu, NELC Governing Council Member while speaking to media persons during a press conference held at Hotel Classic Grande located in Chingmeirong today.
He stated that the annual conclave will be conducted under the theme of "North East India 2030: Towards India's Innovative and Sustainable Growth" and will see participation of various dynamic leaders from the North East region.
 Among those attending the conclave, mention might be made of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu; Union Minister of Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju and other notable personalities including political leaders, sportspersons and academics, he shared.
He asserted that the conclave will see young change makers and leaders as they share their ideas and experiences in order to visualise where they would like to see North East vis-a-vis India in the future, plan a roadmap and strategize on interventions at the grassroots and policy level. Lok Sabha MP and Governing Council Member of NELC, Gaurav Gogoi also spoke on the occasion and stated that the conclave will discuss how policy makers can ensure that the young leaders of NE region get ample exposure and opportunities.
