Prize distribution ceremony conducted

SENAPATI, Oct 6 : In line with the celebration of 67th Wildlife Week, Senapati Forest Division organised a District Level Prize Distribution ceremony today at St Anthony's School, Senapati for the competitions held on September 28, 2022.
Competitions such as On-spot Painting, Essay Writing and Online Slogan were held on the theme, "Future of wildlife in our hands" at Tadubi, Maram Centre, Paomata Centre and Senapati HQ Centres.
Speaking on the occasion, D John Sha, DFO Senapati Forest Division stated that 420 students representing 22 different schools of the district participated in the competitions.
He expressed his gratitude to all the school authorities for sending their students to take part in the competitions.
The DFO mentioned that the competitions were organised to create awareness about the importance of preserving wildlife and environment.
D John Sha also urged all to help protect the wildlife and cautioned that anyone found poaching wildlife would be penalised with fines or jailed.
Winners of the On-spot painting competition competitions in order of merit are- Karen Marahang, St Anthony’s School; Hrangaone, St Anthony’s School; and Emeni, Don Bosco Hr Sec School.
Essay writing (Classes VI-VIII)- Daikho Adaziia, St Joseph High School; K Eloziia, St Joseph High School; and Athili, Baptist English High School.
For (Classes IX-XII)- Amoleni Christina, Nazareth Residential School; Khoziia Kashiprii, Mave School; and K Hing, Don Bosco Hr Sec School.
Slogan Writing- BD Vetene, St Anthony’s School; Thohrii Samuel, Don Bosco Hr Sec School; and Pralo Piku, St Joseph’s School for Category I.
Daikho Kapewo, Don Bosco Hr Sec School; Paveine Mercy, St Anthony’s School; and Hiiveinai Peninah, Don Bosco Hr Sec School for Category II.
Moreover, two students from Senapati district, Amolini Christina of Nazareth Residential School, Mao (Category-II) and Daikho Adaziia of St Joseph High School, Sajouba (Category-I) won the first & second  positions respectively in Essay Writing at the State Level Wildlife Week Competitions.
