A moment in the era of pandemic

I stood by the blue tinted Window
Of the Covid care ward.
Assuming what life after this will be like?
An experience of a kind - Candid sunlight,
Elucidating the air, flower ruffling breeze.
Maze of cottony  clouds sweeping through the roof
Thoughts partly amusing, partly worrisome.
Outside the window of the ward,
I must have looked at thousands of times.
People trying to keep pace with their high
And silent commotion of their eddying and flow.
Living, breathing with normal lungs carefree.
And in here, it’s a battle rocking more in the mind.
With a sinking heart I thought it wasn’t worth knowing
Sabotaging my curious conscience if I will survive.
Frigidity outdo every day, each day
To freeze, distress and torp or in a finished gesture.
Yet somehow, a hope persist to break free
And expect  a help in disguise,
To stumble upon my boredom filled  monotonous life,
Is now a desperate will
That once I wanted to get rid off.
