KRYPHSA, UPSA romp in Khelo India State League for U-17 girls

IMPHAL, Nov 9 : KRYPHSA-Naoremthong blanked Pehlum Lamhil Lawm-Churachandpur 2-0 as UPSA, Pukhao prevailed 7-1 over FC Imphal in today's matches of the ongoing Khelo India State League for U-17 Girls at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the 34th match of the 10-team tournament, KRYPHSA rode on goals from Lamhoithem Haokip (18') and Hemam Linthoi (26') to seal a 2-0 win over Phelum Lamhil Lawm.
Later in the day, Naorem Henarita ran riot to score five goals and guided UPSA to an emphatic 7-1 win over FC Imphal. FC Imphal, under fortuitous circumstances, were 1-0 ahead when Loitongbam Dayapati got a close effort converted in the 7th minute.
Nongmeikapam Sibani then pulled level in the 14th minute before Naorem Henarita banged in three goals back to back in the 16th, 17th and the 26th minutes to give UPSA a 4-1 first half lead.
Sibani banged in her second in the 44th minute before Henarita rose again to pump in two more goals in the 57th and the 68th minutes to make the final scoreline read 7-1.
