Association welcomes kickboxers of Thoubal

Thoubal, Nov 10: Athletes of the Thoubal District Amateur Kickboxing Association who participated in the 2nd WAKO Indian Open International Kickboxing Tournament 2022 from November 2 to 6 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi were felicitated today.
The felicitation ceremony held at Thoubal Ningombam Utha Community Hall was participated by BJP Thoubal District president Yumnam Kumarjit, Thoubal District Amateur Kickboxing Association president A Ingocha and secretary Sapam Swaminatha as presidium members.
During the function, gifts were given to all the athletes.
Reportedly, athletes from Thoubal won 14 gold, 6 silver and 24 bronze medals in the tournament.
It may be mentioned that Manipur bagged 5th position in the tournament with a medal haul of  21 gold, 16 silver and 41 bronze.
Meanwhile, Okram Rolesh, s/o Okram  Biro from Heirok Part III Kabo Leikai who clinched gold medal in 17-18 age group contest of the tournament were also welcomed by Kabo Leikai Development Association at the premises of Kabo Leikai LP School.
