Phurailatpam Brajanaran Sharma condoled

Many have condoled the demise of Phurailatpam Brajanaran Sharma, a pioneer of Theatre in Thoubal district side and founder secretary of South Eastern Manipur Artistes'  Association (SEMAA).
Phurailatpam Brajanaran Sharma passed away on November 11 last. He was 86.
As per a press statement by T Ibotombi, SEMAA Thoubal secretary said that late Phurailatpam Brajanaran Sharma strove relentlessly for the upliftment of Theatre art form not only in Thoubal district but in the entire State since his early days.
He had made significant contributions for the development of Theatre and also guided and nurtured many budding Theatre artistes.
Acknowledging his sincere efforts and contributions in the field of theatre, he was honoured with the Theatre Centre Manipur award.
The members of SEMAA Thoubal have condoled his demise and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
The association has expressed that his demise will leave an irreparable void in the field of theatre particularly in Thoubal side.
To mourn his demise, members of Theatre Centre Manipur held a condolence meeting and observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Theatre Centre Manipur in a press note informed that the condolence meeting was chaired by PadmaShri Wareppa Naba. He recounted the numerous contributions of late Phurailatpam Brajanaran Sharma who dedicated his life for the promotion of theatre artform. The members also shared the pain and grief of the bereaved family.
